Adult Services
Macon Resources has many programs for adults. We offer Case Management/Assessment Services, Development/Vocational Training, Residential Services, Adult Outreach Services, and Community Employment Services.
Our comprehensive programs focus on providing services and supports, which promote growth, independence, and self worth.

Developmental Training
For adults with developmental disabilities, Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI) offers Developmental Training. Created for adults of all ages and abilities, these services focus on personal, social, educational, and vocational development. The training program includes remedial education, community integration training, prevocational training, assistance with personal care, and work opportunities.
Part of Developmental Training is the Community Integration Program. This program allows participants to focus on three areas: volunteer efforts, self-advocacy efforts, and community training opportunities.

Vocational Training
Through our Vocational Services, we provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation to offer support to individuals with chronic mental illness. This program increases independence, strengthens coping skills, helps obtain work training, and promotes self-sufficiency in the community. Plus, MRI's Regular Work Program gives participants on-site work opportunities, which helps improve work skills or habits and prepares participants for jobs in the community.
“I enjoy attending activities with my peers and also working, especially in the food skills training program. I recently had the opportunity to volunteer at a nursing home and loved it. I hope someone will take good care of me when I get older. A good thing that just happened to me was that my case manager helped me become a registered voter.”
