Independence Pointe offers Specialized Services, a social skills group for adults with disabilities. This is a social and recreational program focusing on social competence and self-help skills.
What do adults do at Specialized Services?
Activities offered include:
- family swim night
- hobbies and crafts
- year-round recreational sports
- cooking classes
- outings to community activities
- shopping trips
- bingo and much more
Who is eligible for Specialized Services?
Specialized Services is available for any adult with a developmental disability diagnosed before age 18 who lives in Macon County. Adults must live independently or with family.
What do I have to do to participate in Specialized Services?
Registration fee is $15.00 per year and some activities have minimal cost.
