Discovery Depot Child Care Center serves up to 69 children ages 6 weeks to 6 years full-time and accepts children of ALL abilities. Our licensed and experienced staff provide a caring environment so each child can learn and grow.

Discovery Depot emphasizes communication with the parents on the child’s daily milestones and growth by preparing journals of their music, play, art, and social activities throughout their time with us. The caring staff creates impacting ways to teach hands on discoveries that promote curiosity, self-help, joyful learning and positive self-esteem.

Discovery Depot staff prepares children to enter kindergarten with the social and academic skills needed to be successful.

• Where are you located? Discovery Depot is conveniently located near many large employers right across from Caterpillar (Map).
• What are the hours for Discovery Depot Child Care Center? We are open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.  We are closed on national holidays and for inclement weather.
• What do you do to ensure a child is making progress? Our goal is to support your child and prepare them for kindergarten.  Screenings are done every six months on all children. Developmental checklists are used consistently to ensure a child is developing.
• Do you offer half day and drop-in daycare? No. Only full-time daycare is offered.  Full-time care allows our staff to get to know your child and work individually to grow skills and reach milestones.
• Do you have eligibility requirements for children? Discovery Depot is an inclusive child care center and accepts children from 6 months old to 6 years old.  We serve children of all abilities and have therapists on staff and a variety of resources to meet your child’s developmental needs.
• Can I visit my child’s classroom during breaks? Parents are welcome to visit any time.

Pricing shown is for full time care for a single child. For families, there is a 10% discounted rate for the older child. Please refer to this tuition schedule for full pricing details.

Discovery Depot Child Care center accepts CCAP through CCRS.  We are licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Discovery Depot is regularly inspected by DCFS, Macon County Mental Health Board, and the State Fire Marshall. We are also regularly tested for Radon.
