Parents’ Night Out
supports to meet the needs of MRI clients and their families
Parents’ Night Out (PNO) is a program designed to support the needs of each family member. The children enjoy being with each other and the parents enjoy some time alone. Parents’ Night Out is a respite program for families living in Macon County. While parents enjoy a “parents’ night out,” children get the opportunity to participate in the following:
- Social interaction
- Crafts
- Games
- Creative play
Guest performers such as magicians, clowns, singers, and dancers often visit PNO to perform. PNO children also explore the community through field trips, such as the zoo, museum, parks, bowling, and going to the movies.
When is Parents’ Night Out?
There are three sessions per month – one on Friday evening, one on Saturday afternoon, and one on Saturday evening.
Who is eligible?
PNO for families living in Macon County. The program is designed for families with children ages 1-13 who have an IEP and developmental disability. Siblings are welcome to join.
