The MRI Brave Hearts have a mission to be the voice of and for people with disabilities advocating in support of independence, inclusion, opportunity and respect.

Carl Nave, an officer of the Brave Hearts, was appointed by Governor J.B. Pritzker to serve as a member of the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities (ICDD).
