Internships – flexible hours, available in Case Management, Horticulture, Human Resources, Marketing (PR), Child Care (Independence Pointe/Discovery Depot) and Food Service Clerk.

Eligible employees accrue vacation time on a monthly basis (6-month tenure required before use). Full-time employees begin accruing vacation time when employment starts and will accrue 10 days during their first year. They can earn up to 20 days per year after 15 years of service. Part-time employees accrue monthly vacation time on a pro-rated basis according to the number of hours they work.
On January 1 of each year, all full-time employees are credited with 24 hours of paid personal time to be used for such things as appointments, family events, and unforeseen emergencies. New full-time employees begin accruing pro-rated personal leave based on their hire dates.
All full-time employees receive 14 paid holidays (8-hour days) each year.

Part-time employees, if they work on a designated holiday (indicated by an asterisk* above), are paid time and a half for the hours they worked on that day.
Health, Dental, Life, and Disability Coverage
MRI provides insurance plans for dental, life insurance, and long-term disability to eligible full-time employees at no cost to the employee. A group health plan is available to full-time employees at a minimal cost for employee coverage. Dependent insurance for health and dental is available, and the employee is responsible for the entire premium.
MRI provides a qualified, defined contribution retirement savings plan for all qualified employees. At the end of each year, MRI makes a one-time contribution based on a percentage of the employee’s gross annual wage as designated annually by the Board of Directors. Employees may also have a voluntary pre-tax payroll deduction invested in an agency-designated 403(b) plan (TDSA) to supplement MRI’s contribution.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An Employee Assistance Program is available to all MRI full-time, part-time,and temporary employees and their families. These confidential services are designed and made available to assist employees in resolving personal and family problems that may be affecting their welfare and job performance.
Employees can take advantage of direct deposit to their own bank account or be paid by check every other week.
Salary continuation plans are provided to eligible employees for situations requiring them to be away from work for things such as illness (including maternity/paternity), bereavement, jury duty, and military leave.
Full-time employees accrue six hours of sick leave time each month.
Part-time employees who are scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week accrue three hours (3) of sickleave each month. Part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work a minimum of ten (10) hours per week shall accrue two (2) hours of a pay continuation.
Up to three days of pay, based upon work schedule, is available to compensate bereavement time for the death of an immediate family member for both full- and part-time employees. Full-time employees may also receive one day of bereavement for the death of an extended family member as defined by MRI policy and procedures.
Employees (full and part time) are fully compensated for serving jury duty on days/hours that they are normally scheduled to work.
Training Leave: MRI supplements military training pay for full-time employees who are Reservists and National Guardsmen or women to ensure they have no loss of earnings while away for training. Call-Up to Active Duty: Full-time employees who are called to active duty will receive a supplement to their military pay if necessary in order to equal their normal pay for a maximum of 220 days during any 12-month period.
Full- and part-time employees may earn a performance-based bonus every 12-month period. The maximum bonus amount for full-time employees is $1,000, and for part-time employees the maximum is $500.
Section 125 Flexible Spending Plan
All full-time employees may elect to utilize the Section 125 Flexible Spending Plan (Cafeteria Plan) and set aside pre-tax money to pay for unreimbursed medical and dependent care expenses.
MRI places a high value on staff development and provides comprehensive employee training to ensure our employees’ success. MRI provides core training and periodic refresher training for all employees and job-specific training based upon individual job responsibilities.
