MRI Kids Opens Registration for Summer Programs at New Location

We are excited to share that registration for MRI Kids Summer Programming is open! Programs include Camp Earth, Speech, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Skills Camp, and our year-long program, Parents Night Out! For details on each program, click below.

Camp Earth

What: Camp Earth is for young adults to work in the community cleaning and landscaping. Each camper is paid for their work with a Walmart Gift Card.

When: July 1st – July 26th, 2024 in the mornings.

Where: Will meet at MRI Kids (1811 S. Taylor, Decatur, IL 62521)

Qualifications: Must be between the ages of 14-21. Must have an IEP or 504 Plan

Cost: Free of charge

Summer Speech

What: Speech and Language Therapy for children with an IEP or 504 Plan

When: June 10th – July 22nd, 2024. Each child will have one weekly half-hour session

Where: MRI Kids (1811 S. Taylor, Decatur, IL 62521)

Qualifications: Must have IEP or 504 Plan. Must present insurance card and script from a doctor.

Cost: Cost varies depending on insurance.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

What: Applied Behavior Analysis for children with Autism. Sessions begin with social time and transition into one-on-one activities.

When: June 3rd-July 26th, 2024. Monday-Friday in 1.5 hour sessions.

Where: MRI Kids (1811 S. Taylor, Decatur, IL 62521)

Qualifications: Must have a diagnosis of Autism and an IEP or 504 plan. For children ages 2-7.

Cost: One-time fee of $100

Social Skills Camp

What: Social Skills camp for children with Autism. Sessions work on skills for daily life situations and include games, outdoor activities, and field trips.

When: June 10th- July 26th, 2024. Monday-Friday from 1 PM- 3:30 PM

Where: MRI Kids (1811 S. Taylor, Decatur, IL 62521)

Qualifications: Must have a diagnosis of Autism and an IEP or 504 plan. For children aged 8-17

Cost: One-time fee of $130

Parents Night Out (PNO)

What: Parents Night Out is a year-long program offering parents of children with developmental disabilities an engaging option for childcare. Each session features a fun activity, often with visits from guests like the Children’s Museum, the Zoo, Rock Springs, and Paw Print Ministries to offer interactive lessons.

When: PNO happens two or three times monthly. Sessions are on Fridays from 6-8 PM or Saturdays from 1-4 PM or 5-8 PM.

Where: MRI Kids (1811 S. Taylor, Decatur, IL 62521)

Qualifications: Registration is required. For children ages 2-13. At least one child per family must have a disability (and an IEP or 504 plan), and any of their siblings can attend.

Cost: $10 charge for the first child and $2 for each additional child.
