2024 MRI Field Day

MRI enjoyed hosting our fifth annual Field Day on Friday, May 10th, 2024. We opened our doors to the community to share lunch, field games, basketball, kickball, treats, and more. This year, President/CEO Amy Bliefnick presented three awards: the Individual of Impact Award, the Employee of Excellence Award, and the Champions of Change Award.

The first award presented on Field Day was the Individual of Impact Award. This recognition is dedicated to a person served at MRI who has made great strides in growth, self-worth, and independence. The 2024 Individual of Impact is Danny Hines. Danny has made license plates at Macon Resources for forty years. His dedication to creating quality products inspires those around him, and we are thrilled to recognize him with this award.

Next, we presented the Employee of Excellence Award. This award is presented to an employee for their contribution to our mission and the transformational changes they have made to our organization. We were proud to present Dominic Green with this recognition. Amy Bliefnick, President/CEO, shared, “Dominic goes above and beyond for the people we serve every day. She exemplifies the qualities this award seeks to highlight, and we are fortunate to have her on our team.”

The final recognition on Field Day was the Champions of Change Award. The Champions of Change Award is given to an individual or organization for their significant contributions to the betterment of MRI and the people we serve. We were thrilled to recognize the Macon County Mental Health Board (MCMHB) as our 2024 Champions of Change. “The MCMHB has supported Macon Resources generously for decades,” Bliefnick shared. “When we reached out to them about creating our own Behavioral Health Clinic, they were instantly on board. We wouldn’t have been able to create our clinic without them, and we are tremendously grateful for their support.” Timothy Macken, Executive Director of MCMHB, and board members Bryan Smith and Barbara Dunn accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

Field Day wouldn’t be possible without the support of many generous community sponsors, including our presenting sponsor, CEFCU. CEFCU has steadily supported our organization and mission for years, and we are so grateful for their commitment to helping us Build Meaningful Lives.

“I am as thankful for this program as this gives my child anopportunity to learn teamwork, be with her peers and have fun. If not for this program, she would have been at home watching television and playing video games.”
