Disabilities awareness month

Paint the town Orange 2026

What is Paint the Town Orange?

March is celebrated nationally as Developmental Disability Awareness Month, and we need your help to raise awareness in our community!

Paint the Town Orange is a weeklong effort designed to raise awareness and highlight the abilities of people with developmental disabilities through the use of the color orange. We are searching for businesses, groups, or organizations to partner with us for this event; participation is completely free!

If you choose to join our campaign, you will receive a Paint the Town Orange kit, including a handmade orange paperchain to display at your business, orange ribbons for your staff to wear throughout the week, and a framed graphic detailing how to promote awareness and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities.
