Children’s Services
Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI) provides services for children of all ages focused on helping children reach their fullest potential while supporting family needs.
Bright Start is a family support program benefitting children ages birth to 5 years who live in Macon County. The program helps children to learn, grow and develop to reach their full potential.
Kid’s Connection is an after-school and summer care program for children ages 5 to 18 who receive special education services. The program provides socialization, community outings, education expenses and individuals care. Kid’s Connection is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
Children’s services are also available at Independence Pointe, formerly Easter Seals. The Discovery Depot Child Care Center is a full-time licensed child care center for children ages six weeks to 6 years. Parent’s Night Out offers respite care for parents of youth ages one to 13 who have developmental disabilities. Independence Pointe also offers therapy services, hearing screenings, autism resources, summer tutoring, social skills camp and much more.
