What Are The Benefits of Residential Services?

MRI’s Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) and intermittent CILA programs support adults with intellectual disabilities in their own homes or apartments. Through person‑centered planning, we help individuals build independence in daily living, decision‑making, and community involvement. Our residential services emphasize choice, dignity, and the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe environment.

CILA Support includes:

Medical appointments and medication review
Money management
Social skills and leisure activities
Grocery shopping and nutrition support
Personal shopping
Laundry and housekeeping assistance
Transportation
Counseling
Community orientation
Crisis intervention

Full Time Living Services

MRI owns and operates nine group homes in the Decatur area; four to eight people live in each home with full-time daily support staff. These homes are called Community Integrated Living Arrangements.

Intermittent Living Services

MRI offers Intermittent Community Integrated Living Arrangement (ICILA) Services to assist people who live independently in the community, whether it be with family or in their own homes or apartments.
